5150 III 100w with Axe Fx II in the loop

Any one using the 5150 III 100w with a Fractal MkII in the loop? Here is my rig with a Suhr Custom Standard. I had some routing questions. I am currently using the 4cable method and the volume pedal helps control the stadium volume to studio band levels. Oh yeah I'm new here!

    Welcome to CVH.com , btw !
I was wondering how the actual amp tones compare to the 5150 III . Those Axe-FX rigs are supposed to be the closest thing to the real deal . Would really like to hear some demo examples ... Cheers

Ok,...I will do a video(be a few days headed out of town for the weekend)! I had a 50w rig last year and some basic differences were; the ch2 had more gain on tap yet the ch 3 was way to shrill and gained out. The 100w has less gain overall in ch 2 and has to have an OD into the front to push it. The ch 3 is amazing and with the Axe for all effects is great!
As far as the Axe compared to the real thing........for this tone it cannot do it. Well let me say it can present a very believable and useable tone but a/b'd the clarity and dynamic response the amp has cannot be touched by the Axe. Having said that the plexi 50w model in the axe with the frfr set up was my go to rig for live tones and still a great choice and very believable!
Video coming! For now go to 'cragginshred' on youtube to hear some Axe Fx clips!

This dude gets a fantastic tone from the AFx II - can play a bit too

Yeah he is a great player! I know of him from the Fractal forum. Tonight I had the 1st band practice with the pictured rig. Super psyched about my tone ranging from VH 1 to ZZ/Zep using the Les Paul and even SRV with ch 1 and the strat - it is made by Fender.....and the 6L6 tubes provide mondo tone! Will try to get a video done tomorrow after going climbing in the am - spring temps here in Cali!

    Great video !!!
Whoever is playing has an amazing talent . Those licks were nailed , man . Effortless execution . If that is in fact the Axe FX rig , then I'm very impressed with the dynamics and response .

P.S. , I never did buy the white Kramer Pacer

Here is a quick sound bit comparing ch 2 with 3. My iMovie in the Macbook pro is being a pain to edit all the clips I have s this one is brief, you get the idea! Put some head phones on and crack a beer!
