Cool, I'll have to keep an eye on when it happens. Seems DLR is the only one ever in public now.

I'm down for that. As long as he's talking something about Van Halen, or anything really!

I'm slightly surprised by this.I was assuming they would just go their separate ways until it was time to work again.THIS IS REAL GOOD NEWS!
Very happy to know they're jammin' and getting along.Speaks well to things happening next year.Hopefully, a double album emerges too.

I think this is the full Roth segment:

I suspected they may have possibly already recorded enough for a double album during ADKOT, as they mentioned in the interview they demoed up to 35 songs. It may just be a matter of putting down a few touch-ups and writing then recording a couple more brand new fresh tunes. Hopefully we can get it early next year. I knew they were up to something, as when they aren't, that is when Wolfie hooks up with his buddy's band, and Dave go's to Japan. As long as they are quiet, it means they are probably recording. What else are they going to do, just sit around and do nothing while valuable time slips away, I dont think so. Those days of wasted time are all over now. EVH has had enough bad luck with one thing or another, so now I believe he wants to seize the oppourtunity to get back into the swing of things right away, as they all know the clock is ticking.

The thing that I don't understand is if they demoed 35 songs, but Roth claims that he hasn't written a new song with EVH in 20 years, what songs did they demo that aren't on the original WB demo?

I don't think they have 20 unused tunes demoed.
