Did you notice that the camera panned down to the floor for about 7 seconds - that's when they switched to a Saddam double.Originally Posted by i1sum2!

"I want a run for my money thats all"
I think he should have rotted in jail too. Death by hanging is too humane a gift. It is much more miserable to spend the remainder of your life in jail, in my opinion. If Saddam was hung by ways of the long-drop, he most likely died almost instantly. I found it telling that he resisted leaving U.S. custody, to be returned to his countrymen.
The media sickens me too. And it seems like there is little to do to escape. You really have to isolate yourself not to be exposed to it. Turn on your computer, radio, or television - and the sensationalism and celebrity worship smacks you in the face right away. It kind of makes me wonder how our culture is so much more advanced or complex than that we are fighting against. Observing Southwest Asia, it seems like it is traditional, deeply set culture pitted against technology and globalism. I've seen how the latter has changed our country in the past ten years, and I don't like it at all.
I don't know, hanging may seem barbaric, but why allow him to sit in jail while honest taxpayers feed and clothe him? We do this here in America for the likes of Charles Mansion, Charles Yng and countless others. That doesn't solve anything. What's the point of keeping a convicted killer? Someone who has committed a crime against humanity? I don't get that. I am for the death penalty. If you knew beforehand that you stood to lose your life for killing another, you would think awfully hard about going thru with that actual act. Saddam got away with murder because he was their leader. The Iraqi's have reason to celebrate today. The people can breathe a sigh of relief now.
That has to be the worst filming I've ever seen. Was the person filming drunk?
Actually I think he should have faced " The four horrors". That would have shown him. Inhumane or not he deserves it.
Ready, Eddie!
this is a good day for all but still capital punishment is a joke

But they do drink a lot of coffee.
America had nothing to do with his dying. It was the will of the Iraqis. And ironic as it is, Saddam put up a minor struggle when he was handed over to his own people ... released from U.S. custody. He knew the Iraqi appeal process was streamlined.Originally Posted by Sugar-Dave
