First of all Welcome!!! i haven't seen you before even though you've being here about 2 and a half years more than me!!
anyway they both get on now and are currently recording at 5150 studies
I don't think that they care for one another at all.

I thought Dave wasn't in and that they were still singerless?
Ready, Eddie!

You would be amazed on how many groups that are out there just for business reasons and not because they love one another. They can make great music together, regardless of their feelings. Unless you are like Cream. Clapton says the fist fights between Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker were too much to handle, so once again the tour is cancelled.
Serious? Humm, I thought they were ok with each other.Originally Posted by Scottie Hutch

Yeah Simon, Eric made a news statement last month saying that the 2007 tour wasn't going to happen. But who knows, money may talk. They may end up doing another small tour. I would have loved to see them. I also hope Eddie and the boys can work something out -Originally Posted by Simon Ribeiro
Dave is a lot of fun, an interesting and energetic guy. Nonetheless, he's gotta get pretty annoying and frustrating if you happen to associate with him on a regular basis. He'd probably drive many crazy.
Eddie's quite introverted, so he is especially sensitive to Dave's flamboyant ways. Plus, Dave's presence onstage interferes with EVH's own need to be the centerpiece. If you look at that 1996 clip, he seemed visibly annoyed when Dave starting do what Dave naturally does ... what a frontman is supposed to do to interact with his crowd. Dave is about Dave, and he's not going to give too many props to the others once he's in the limelight. Ed knows this well.

I don't think the animosity is as bad as everyone makes it out to be in all honesty. They are the complete opposite of one another. It compliments them and creates interesting music. Yin and Yang.
I will say that Dave threw Ed some big props at the Largo show back in 82 by announcing to the audience that Ed had received a guitar player of the year award. Ed acknowledged this too.
Agreed sum.
I think Dave loves Eddie. I watch those clips and Dave is always pointing to Ed with his mic, as if to say "He-the-Man".
I don't think Dave bothers Eddie either (nowadays). Ed does actually compliment Dave on his persona..... In a weird way they prolly love each other - hence the brotherly type bitter squabbles that ensued after Dave quit.
I'm hopefull for their "relationship" - but, they need to make a new baby together.
