    the Ibanez destroyer (shark)

    Many people still wondering if the destroyers were Made of Korina or Ash

    well the answer is here

    And the truss rod cover


    As you can see there are 2 Difrence Truss rod cover From ibanez the one that looks like Ed's its from an early 1975 Destroyer without serial numbers
    the other one is from an ibanez destroyers that were made from 1976-1978 with serial numbers

    and the 2 pic is from a original 1976 gibson explorer

    "Korina ash FINISH" so we now know the FINISH is Korina ash, what's the rest of it?

    Oh, now I have my reading glasses on.... ASH!!!!! pardon my moronity today, yesterday I spent 4 hours in a dentist chair, another two in the tattoo artist chair, the effects of the Vike is wearing off...

    The korina wood and the ash wood

    Okay here are 2 guitars

    the first guitar with the gold hardwares is a gibson Korina Explorer 2003 Historic Collection/Custom Shop
    made of Korina wood


    And the 2nd guitar with the chrome hardwares is a 1975 ibanez destroyer made of ash

    as you can see the woods looks similar to each other

    If i was EVH or another one that dont know much about woods. i would say that both guitars were made of the same wood (the korina wood)

    Ace frehley of kiss used on of those Destroyers and it was made of ash

    i think he used it somwhere in 1975-1976 the kiss Destroyer tour and the Rock and Roll Over Tour


    ive seen a pic of ace with an ibanez destroyer and it is made of ash

    If i find it i will post it
