How do you hate "Rapid Fire"?

Wait, what??? He molested a disabled boy? I was watching the US Fest performance today and thought he looked like a weirdo. Not that surprising then.
I forgot about "United," which is just awful.

Yeah, Holland was supposedly giving the kid a drum lesson.
1234 called him the Charlie Watts of Priest, which is pretty high praise, imo.
Sadly, he's all been erased from the Priest legacy.
Even Eddie airbrushed Wolfie into the band shots, from that period.

Yeah, it's really too bad he is such a piece of shit as a person.

I will always hold up "Point of Entry" as the best JP record. I remember that they were really proud of it, and talking about how much they enjoyed experimenting....then it kinda failed. For the next record (Vengeance) the interviews were all "we're back to what made us Judas Priest. Our fans didn't want us doing all those strange things".

You mentioned "The Rage" from British Steel. I love the reggae intro/breakdown (the rest of the tune is weak).
It can't be "Van Halen" without Roth, any more than it can be "Van Halen" without Eddie.

    Damn, that's just messed up.

Of the studio albums I have (Class, Steel, Vengeance), Vengeance is my least favourite. I know it's meant to be their high point, but it's not as invigorating to me as Stained Class. "Saints in Hell" is an incredible tune; I love when the bass and vocals come in at the same time in the intro.

It's also come to my attention that a lot of bands ripped them off. The little break down from "Rapid Fire" was aped from 'Tallica on "Motorbreath", "You've Got Another Thing Comin" was ripped off by Ozzy for "Desire", and the intro to "Devil's Child" always reminds me of "Stuck in the Middle" by Dio.

Speaking of drummers, I had no idea that Simon Phillips also drummed for Judas Priest. I swear, that guy was in everyone's band at some point.

I thought you weren't into more metally stuff, 1234.

I like the hooky stuff. Once it became all skulls & fire it lost me. I see Metallica as the point where I lost interest.

    Vengeance is a masterpiece.

The stellar song craft & hooks of "Point of entry", combined with the aggression & metallic
    sensibilities of "British Steel."

The Hellion/Electric Eye, Riding on the wind, Bloodstone, THE MONSTER TITLE TRACK (that
song is just blinding metal perfection), Devil's Child...

    Masterpiece.

I love "Point of entry", but i can see it confusing people.
Vengeance is like Priests "Moving Pictures," where every track kills.

They did a head to head on TMS, between British & Vengeance.

KK was on the metal modem & actually chose, British Steel.

I was like, "You blonde fucker....."

    So does KK!

I thought he'd say "Vengeance" because that was the tour to end all tours,
and the album to break them commercially (in the mega arena rock sense).

One record i never liked was, Hell bent for leather (Killing machine).
I liked the opening cut, Delivering the goods & Running Wild.
The rest of it kinda left me cold.

I love Green Manalishi, but the version on "Unleashed."

I just feel like Steel has more signature riffs, hooks and overall a better sound.

Why is it sometimes called Hell Bent for Leather and at others Killing Machine?
That's one of the only albums of theirs that's available near me.
I'm contemplating buying it, but the vibe I get from it is off.
Unleashed in the East is a killer record, was kinda disappointed to hear that most of it was re done in the studio though.
