that's pretty cool, Jack. I usually veer away from Jazz fusion stuff because I fear a lot is just snobby wanking.

    But man...

I was just knocked out by the man's playing.
He does an extended "Comfortably numb" solo, that is just beyond gorgeous.
He nails the recorded solo, but then just goes off...

And the guy singing Roger Water's parts is awesome.

I think Gilmour has the most refined strat tone i have ever heard.
Does he use those lace sensor pickups?

His tone is flawless, with no strat buzz.
    A bit of trivia:

All Lovers are Deranged was written by Pete Townsend.
Once you know that, it becomes so obvious both in title and in the song itself.

I saw Gilmore on the About Face tour at New Yorks Beacon theatre, great show.

    Van Halen-ADKOT

Ok, I'm sorry, but ANYONE who can listen to this and STILL pine for the return of Sam and Mike, is a fucking idiot. I say this knowing full well that there are Linkers, including the Emperor, who lurk on this site from time to time...

I rarely hit the links, but i thought they liked ADKOT?
Are they still upset about Mike being gone?

Christ, I'd take a hoarse DLR over Sammy, any day.
Dave has good ideas, brings out more inspired music from the boys.

Most did, at first...but you still get a high ratio of Sam/Mike lovers there. With the release of Dave's new "thanks for another great tour" video, the same asshats are out in force saying this is the end, bring back Sam or even worse, let's have a farewell Dave/Sam/Mike tour. WTF? Why are so many so called "fans" ready to bury this band?

I'll take an aging VH over the likes of the Foo Fighters, Black Keys, Nickelback, or whatever else supposedly passes for "good" rock for today's kids nowadays. Nuts.

I wouldn't care if Roth just read poetry over the music (it would be way more interesting than anything Hag's will ever do).
