Can't say I'm a big fan, but they're ok if I fancy a change from the norm. If I said I saw them on the 'High & dry' tour would I be showing my age?h34r:
During the second half of June, right after the first leg of the Rock 'N Roll Double-Header Tour with BRYAN ADAMS, DEF LEPPARD will play another 12 shows. Two of these were already announced last week (the Music Midtown and CityStages festivals), and now it has been confirmed that the band will play another 10 headline shows:
Jun. 14 - Tampa, FL @ St. Pete Times Forum
Jun. 15 - Kissimmee, FL @ Silver Spurs Arena
Jun. 17 - Jacksonville, FL @ Jacksonville Arena
Jun. 20 - Madison, WI @ Alliant Energy Ctr. Mem. Col.
Jun. 21 - Green Bay, WI @ Resch Center
Jun. 23 - Pittsburgh, PA @ Chevrolet Amphitheatre
Jun. 24 - Wilkes-Barre, PA @ Wachovia Arena
Jun. 25 - Portland, ME @ Cumberland County Civic Ctr.
Jun. 27 - Uncasville, CT @ Mohegan Sun Arena
Jun. 28 - Manchester, NH @ Verizon Wireless Arena
On these dates, DEF LEPPARD will be supported by none other than TESLA. This brings back memories of the 1987/1988 "Hysteria" tour, when the band from Sacramento, CA, on the verge of breaking through was also supporting DEF LEPPARD. TESLA will not be playing at the June 17 show, but instead MONTROSE will open.

Yeah, me either. I did see the "Hysteria" tour in 1988, though. It was pretty good. After "Pyromania" they kind of headed in the wrong direction, I think. They got way to poppy for me. I prefer the earlier albums. Tesla is a great band though. Not sure if I agree with them "supporting" Def Leppard.Originally posted by stevanroth@Apr 16 2005, 02:43 PM

I would agree with you Ryan, Def Leppard went limp with Hysteria! I went to that tour with Tesla as well, they blew 'em away! I was given a free ticket was the only reason I went. They went the Bon Jovi route and just made music for the chicks! The arena was crawling with babes!
I think the High and Dry album was their best (and most rockin'
I'm surprised that Def Lep aren't playing the county fairs/casinos yet! They should definately be opening for Tesla!

Man, I used to be a great fan of Def Leppard. I like listen to records like: "High & Dry", "Pyromania" and "Hysteria". But I can't understand how such good band became just a shadow of a itself. That's a shame.![]()
