    Chris Squire Dead at 73

Devastating news... Only a month ago was he diagnosed with a form of Leukemia.

I'm glad to have seen him perform twice though. Still, what a blow to the music world...

One of the greatest bassists of all time.

Ya saw this earlier and I had no clue he was even sick. Tremendous player with some great material from the early-mid 70s.
The first 3 mins of this are utterly amazing.

All the greats seem to be going and before long all we will be left with is Taylor Swift and Kanye, and well of course Dave Groehl.
    Heaven help us........

And btw I think he was 67 not 73.

    RIP

For me, he had no peers as a Bass player.

His technique, tone, sense of groove (even in a progressive rock band!), was unsurpassed.
I think Geddy borrowed 90 percent of his style from Chris, not Entwistle (as he claims).

I was shocked to read he had passed.
I had no idea he was even sick.

The fact that Chris (and YES) are STILL not in the RNRHOF, while Green Day is, is
the biggest, saddest joke in all of rock & roll.

    Wait, 73?

He was most definitely not that old.
In his late sixties i believe.

It sucks. The guy was amazing! He deserves more credit than he gets.
