Some will travel here but I think most will eventually go else where or come up with there own VH forum/message board to get there fix.
They will "save" the VanHagarLinks. But if they don't, few if any will come here. They will probably just spend more time on sites dedicated to other bands...ReoFansUnite.com....StyxForever.com....Nig htRangerFever.com....JourneyIsTops.com...BonJoviIs Cute.com
It can't be "Van Halen" without Roth, any more than it can be "Van Halen" without Eddie.

They might make the total, but I still don't think they are out of danger.

The type of person that willfully puts an online community through that type of ordeal with an 'all or nothing' attitude could simply close it at any point in the near future, based on nothing more than a whim and a snap decision.

Yes, a proclamation of "open borders". Maybe classicvanhalen.com should start charging new members?

Yes and recklessly spend all the money we raise on beer and women at the newly formed ClassicVanHalen.com annual convention.

    Yeah!

The majority of members on VHLinks are probably regular Van Halen fans who grew up with band being the soundtrack of their youth, like most of us.

And also for the younger generation of fans that grew up listening to their parents blasting out the Mighty Van Halen.

A thread for VHLinks members on ClassicVanHalen.com is available if they need it.

This was a really horrible idea on your part.

It makes us look desperate, and the beauty of this site was the fact we celebrated the classic era
of this band, not the "Foreigner" years.

That thread you opened, specifically to kiss the asses of the Links members, will backfire on us
    in a big way.

This site deserves better than to be looked upon as a joke, by those yahoo's.

2 years ago VHLinks did the same for Roth Army. They gave them an area purely for the Roth Army members alone. And it worked. This was while there was a fall out within the ranks on the Roth Army site.

At the time, we also had a 'Roth Army Drop In Center' set up in fan introduction for the very same purpose.

The Roth Army thread did not backfire on us, but I have taken your comments on board.

Ok here is what is going to happen...

    1. A moderator at VHLinks will announce that in an hours time, or at a certain EST, their webmaster is going to make an announcement
    2. Then the Linker's pre-announcement backslapping will start.
    3. The webmaster will announce that they raised all the money and that they are are saved.
    4. Then the Linker's post announcement backslapping will start.
    5. Members of ClassicVanHalen.com will queue up to announce that this was the only outcome there was going to be and they rightfully predicted it weeks ago.
    6. Janie Van Halen finds a begging letter/email from a VHLinks member in her inbox dated 2 days before the deadline.
    7. Jeff Hausman ignores the request he received to make the VHLinks funding drive a news story.
    8. Numbers 6 & 7 have actually happened.
