How the hell did we miss this?!

The Evh striped series is releasing an Unchained model!

We need mods, more posters, somebody to gather some info and post this
stuff, because we are a lazy ass bunch & this site is nearly dead.

That would be awesome if Ed came out an played one on Unchained during the next tour...

I think this would probably be my 2nd all time favorite guitar after the Red/white/black Frankie.

I think my favorites are tied between the Unchained and the Yellow/black Charvel.

This EVH series Unchained even features the "See ya!" graphic on the back.
I hope it's in line with the prices of the other three in the series.

You can pre-order them already! (Though we all know the delays with the pre-orders last
    time around).

The Bumblebee's have dropped to 650.00 on eBay, and i'm guessing the Unchained can be had for 799.00

    Fantastic!

It's interesting that Ed is reclaiming that design.

We all know the original holy trinity of his striped guitars, but the Unchained is more
of a "cult" guitar, something the old school diehards only recognize.

It's cool that he is acknowledging this beautiful guitar and making it part of the striped
    series.

Now, when will we see an Ibanez Shark anniversary series?

I still can't believe he repainted it and turned it into the Rasta, then gave the damn thing to Dweezil. Would love to see Ed play one of these Unchained replicas live!

I was thinking about this exact point, last night on the train.

I never liked the Rasta design all that much, especially since the Unchained was so cool, but
underneath it, Dweezil had the same guitar from the classic "Unchained" video.

Then i started wondering if the Unchained had made a studio appearance on WACF, because
i remember seeing that unpainted/wood finish strat, on a stand, during the pics from the WACF sessions.
But then i thought, "Wait, there was another guitar Ed painted black & white (The Rude?), it had the super
thick body, which i guess was that unpainted guitar on the stand.

I guess the Unchained just got limited stage appearances on the mighty FW tour.

But as you alluded to earlier, it's cool that Ed realizes the Unchained's historical significance to the hardcore fans. Otherwise, why would they bother making a replica series of it?

It really surprises me because the Unchained was never included when they released the Charvel art series.

In fact, Unchained replicas on eBay, were the only striped guitars not pulled or threatened by Ed's lawyers.
Someone said, at the time, that the Unchained was not trademarked.
    I wonder what changed?

Could be some builders at EVH/Fender convincing Ed it was a cool design & should be considered.

The Unchained is like the sister instrument to Al's drums on the Fair Warning tour.
