I can't afford the real deal, but I'm trying to find a nice knock off that I can paint up. Then try to get it to sound like this:

Oh man, back in the 90's, i worked at a bootleg CD shop called CD Spins, and they had two stores (one
in Allston and one on Newbury street...i worked at the Newbury street location).

My buddy, Scott, worked at the Allston location.
One day, Noel Gallagher came in (to his store) and was asking where the Beatles section was.
Scott recognized him immediately & proceeded to show him the section.
Scott said, "We carry a lot of imports (bootlegs), so there's lots of rare live recordings and
    compilations..."

He said Noel glared at him & said, "Oh piss off, man, i got eyes, i can see what you have!"

Scott was taken aback & proceeded to walk away, but then Noel laughed (like he was joking)
    and said, "Thanks, mate."

Scott said he bought a lot of Beatles CD's that day, and was actually pretty cool & funny.

That is a great story! And definitely the way Noel is. He has that sarcastic, rude, dead-pan English humor..........love it! I could listen to their interviews for hours.

Yeah, Noel was channeling his inner Ray Davies!

But he felt bad & let Scott know, "I'm just messin' with ya..."
At least, the laugh said as much.

I do like those Epi copies of the signature guitars.
I really want the Ace Frehley one, which is like 2 grand less than his Gibson version.
Slash also had an Epi version of his LP, which was a limited run.
Problem is that i'm not a big LP guy.

Something about one knob, one pickup, strat style, gets me!

I think it goes back to the 80's, when my local music store got all these Charvel model 1's
    in stock.
    I wanted one so bad!

Some guys are strat guys, some are les paul guys, some only play teles. I'm more a Pete Townsend guitarist....where I don't discriminate. I'll play a strat, a les paul, a tele, acoustic, whatever ya got. I just love the different tones and get inspired by the different looks, feels and sounds. They're pure artwork that you can play with!

But, my favorite has always been the strat. Eddie, Jimi and SRV made it look and sound way too cool. I had to have one. And they're so comfortable. Perfect weight, balance and they curve to your body like an extension of your hip.

I love the looks & sounds of all those guitars, yet the strat is the only design that feels comfortable to me.
