Me personally think that being a Mod is alot of work and responsibility. I was a Mod once on a poker forum (Poker Toker's) and to me it was like having a 2nd job.I know this forum is totally different then a poker forum but checking topics for spam porn updating poker games banning I.P. addresses and keeping an eye on the chat box was a task.....THANK GOD WE DON'T HAVE A CHAT BOX HERE.
This site needs a number of new mods that can share the work load and try the role out for a trial period.

The silence from VH Freak on this security breach is quite concerning.

He must have been compromised, either that, or he's on holiday or something.

I do hope the NSA are watching this site. The hackers behind this attack could easily progress to more challenging security breaches.

    Today ClassicVanHalen.com tomorrow the Pentagon.

Who deals with hackers in the US, is it the NSA, CIA or the FBI?

Whichever one it is I hope they reverse hack this asshole and screw with his computers, and stick a surveilance program on his main machine or network.

It would be the NSA who pokes there nose into our lives via E-mail. One of the guys at our sister company sends us orders by way of e-mail. he always types at the very end of the order P.S. "Hello NSA have a great day".
Why behave in public if your living on a playground?

There is a long time member of this board with a serious health issue asking for advice/suggestions from his fellow members, yet most members of this forum are steering clear of the site because it was hacked.

    http://classicvanhalen.com/forum/sho...o-sell-guitars

Maybe this is the point where the hacker packs up his bag of tricks and clears off?

Or maybe members can return to this community and help, assist, or advise their friend in need?

To assist forum members in making an independent and informed decision I have posted the following:

Stupid f'ing hackers! I was out of town for a bit which is part of the reason this site wasn't up quicker. The other reason was it took my host a couple days to get it back on-line. I apologize for the delay and the absence.....just been a busy month in the Freaks house. I'll look at getting new mods....let me know if you are interested.

Wow...that was a pain in the ass. We got hacked pretty bad. I was able to get rid of the fake admins but it corrupted my config file. Luckily I made a backup of it. And this all happened as I was in Las Vegas for a vacation. This site will be up and down for the next couple days as I will be updating the vbulletin software. Thanks for your patience.

Yeah, that guy took complete control.

First we got the malware warning, then the site was up.
Then he got us again with his page coming up & info.

Looked like he was from the middle east.

Same thing happened to a motorcycle forum I run in Oz. Except they got in real deep, wrote tables to the SQL database, really screwed it up. Took me ages to get rid of everything. Good job Afghan Cyber Army hackers, fucking up an Australian motorcycle forum really makes us sympathetic to your cause - NOT!
