Couldn't care less. I was watching Breaking Bad.
First off if you havnt seen the video of her "performance" here it is....
This almost leaves me speechless.
What a talentless sack of shit worthless excuse of an entertainer/musical act.
I see drugs/porn/and a hard fall in her future.
With any luck she will gain admittance to the "27 club" a bit early.
Couldn't care less. I was watching Breaking Bad.
Ready, Eddie!
There's a line from a song by the band Kansas that I've always liked: "Desperation shows it's ugly face in many ways..." "No one can escape the times we live in."
It's a fitting line to a myriad of applications, and it works perfectly for that performance.
I'm as shocked as I was when Timberlake pulled at Janet Jackson's tit. Or when Madonna kissed B.Spears. In other words, I couldn't give a fuck.
I just wish she would go straight to the sex tape, and quit wasting our time.
I am more disturbed that Justin Timberlake is presented as some kind of great millennial artist.
Right now, it feels like the hair metal days, when everything was gloss. As much as you might hate Nirvana, that is the kind of band that is needed. A band that just takes the piss out of all this nonsense, but is too popular to ignore. A band that arrives late, all fucked up, and ruins all the prerecordings and choreographed boring routines and speeches.

Still haven't seen it, (the video has been pulled Achilles) but I've seen pictures and its just another attempt for MTV to get ratings for an awards show that has sucked donkey-balls for 15 years, at least. Remember the old days when the VMA's were must-see-TV? Not anymore.
Anyway, I guess Miley is trying to get rid of her wholesome Disney image. She sure got some attention though. She used to be cute, now she is in skank mode. Next stop, rehab.
Go RAMS!
Typical American response over something so tame (in the internet age):
Outrage!
When are we Americans NOT outraged?
I DL'd the entire VMA thing just to watch Katy Perry (Katy was lookin' fine, btw), and was certainly
never a Miley fan.
But, damn, THAT was entertainment!
It was hilarious, almost punk-rock in it's hyper-sexual/middle finger to the haters, in a way.
How can we NOT see the humor in that performance?
I'm pretty sure Miley was in on the joke, and got the response she was looking for.
48 hours later, America is still outraged, and Miley is loving every minute of it.
I used to really despise her for that awful, "Party in the USA" tune, but now all is forgiven.
I thought she was hilarious, and i dug the "over the top" presentation.
Katy was amost dirtier, but far more subtle.
Everytime she sat down, in the boxing ring prop stage, those legs were spread so strategically.
Lots of thigh, very suggestive.
Not to mention, Katy's jump rope sequence...
It's all about sex.
Sex and youth.
It's MTV.
Stop being the old, disgruntled man that says, "Back in my day..."
Learn to laugh at the absurdity of it all.
