Pardon my EVH stripe guitar na´vetÚ....

Did Ed play this guitar ever? I need help with the background info here. I'm fairly perplexed.

    I think I want one.

It's one of the new EVH striped series. Mexican assembled, EVH parts, I believe a Wolfgang style compound radius board but wider at the nut. Early reports are that they're good players. I'm gonna get one, maybe all 3 if they're good, but there's none in Oz yet I can find except one that came up on ebay for $1500. I reckon they'll retail about $1300 here.

I only know of him playing this Frankie with a Wolfgang neck:

    Doug,

Ed has played many of his striped charvel guitars over the last 3 tours (04, 07 / 08 and 12) and some have looked very similar to the one you posted but I have not ever seen him play this particular factory run (franky striped pattern on a single hum rear loaded 5150 style body) guitar in any case. Most of the ones he played were custom stripe jobs. They are nice guitars though and if you can grab one, as Jimi said, they play awesome but Ed did not play one that I know of live.

I didn't think so either, but it looks relatively familiar. Is it a pattern off a Kramer or some shit? Am I just tripping cuz it looks like Franky if it were new with only the one humbucker?

    And what's this one called?

That is the Franky stripe pattern, Doug... it looks weird because they've placed stripes where the top route would normally be.

    Sick playing, Jimi!

For some reason, i really connect to your style.
I like the way you get your tone, the way you pick to get that tone.

Also, excellent choice on the guitar, man.
The Bee is the one & only, for me, as far as these new EVH axes go.
