Usually, everything has to be on his terms, and i don't see him compromising or putting the band first.

What really bugs me is that headline in Guitar World: I see us doing this for a long time, this is just the beginning...

    WHAT CHANGED, ED?

We get that you like playing with your son, but there are other members to consider.
Stop holding everything up, make a decision one way or the other.

Also, i'm not too keen on this "floor" thing.
WTF is the point of dance remixes of, essentially, a hard rock band?

I have to hear the remix to have an opinion, but obviously they are trying to "get with the times" , and expand their audience. They probably wouldn't bother if they had something else to do. But THEY DON'T, except waiting around for Eddie.

It can't be "Van Halen" without Roth, any more than it can be "Van Halen" without Eddie.

Wow, was on the Classicrockmagazine forum, at work, today and they ran with the story:

DAVID LEE ROTH WANT's MICHAEL ANTHONY BACK IN BAND.

I can't imagine this kind of thing will endear Dave to Ed, especially considering his son is the one that
    replaced Mike.
I see Dave's side of it, i really do, but he knows how Ed reacts.
His comments, while truthful, make me feel like he considers VH done.
He's talking to the press, like a man with nothing to lose.

If Ed's not onboard, VH is caput.
John 5, Joe Satriani, whomever, they won't give Dave the spotlight that Ed would.
And i don't see Ed embracing these comments as a wake-up call or kick in the pants.
Ed will, most likely, become defensive, and as a result, more reclusive.

I think Ed is content to jam on his own, while Dave want's the big tours and concerts.
Ed seems to be more and more reclusive, and enjoying it.
I don't think he craves the spotlight or attention at all, at this point.

I gotta say i love the title of Dave's project:

Somewhere over the Rainbow bar & grill.

    I love that.
