Wolfgang has bailed on Van Halen - Tour in 2013 with Tremonti - Has Dave gone too?
Wolfgang Van Halen has officially bailed on Van Halen.
After what must have been a heart wrenching decision for the young Van Halen, he has confessed that after the recent success of the Tremonti World Tour he has artistically moved on.
To cement this new career path, Wolfgang has has announced that he will be touring with his new band in 2013.
No word on what his father, rock guitarist, Eddie Van Halen has made of this other than his son tweeted pictures of Eddie supporting him on tour in with his new band in 2012.
Last summer Van Halen cancelled the second leg of their tour and further dates in Japan due to Eddie Van Halen's near death experience after reports of a slimming drink exploding in his intestines resulted in him being hospitalized.
With rumors that Van Halen singer David Lee Roth has met with the remaining band members of Nirvana and may now link up or even join the legendary group, is this the end of Van Halen?
Could this be a cue for Sammy Hagar and his Chickenfoot bass playing pal, Michael Anthony to rejoin Van Halen?
Nothing would surprise this news desk when it comes to the hard rock soap opera known as Van Halen.

I read it and thought wtf! - must be just the rumor mill, but check it out, it's all over the net, which says a lot about the current state of Van Halen!
Despite what Wolfgang said prior to this, these dates are confirmed and he is 100% on board with Tremonti.
Dave with Nirvana - all I can say is, that it's all over the internet too. Nirvana would welcome him into the band and by all accounts, Dave's accepting the invite.
Michael Anthony must be at home with his family, gearing up for Christmas and thinking wtf is going on in Van Halen?
As for Van Halen in 2013, who knows, all bets are off

I don't know.... Dave would love the Kudos and the limelight that would be created by such a pairing.
It would be similar to Michael Anthony joining KISS.
Or Eddie Van Halen joining Pearl Jam
Who knows what 2013 will bring? Alex Van Halen might post a more interesting pic than the door to his dressing room
Or, Eddie might surprise us all and release some of the early Van Halen demos

Mike isn't coming back.If Halen is going to tour next year like they said,it will happen after Wolf is dun, obviously. The only way Mike even has a prayer of getting back in is if Wolf officially quits.Even then the odds aren't good.
I agree with you completely.
Wolfie IS the reason we even got a new album and partial tour.
Ed loves that kid more than anything, playing with his son, obviously, means the world to him.
Michael Anthony re-joining the fold would do nothing for Ed's desire to keep VH running.
Moreover, i believe Wolfie loves his Dad and VH as priority one.
He would never bail on his old man to join the guy from Creed, full time.
This story is bogus, there are no links, and i've seen nothing online regarding it.
