For me, there are almost none that I skip on the original 6pk.
    VH I: none
    VH II: none
WACF: Tora! Tora!/Loss of Control, rarely (depends on my mood)
FW: One Foot Out the Door, again, depending on my mood
DD: (Oh) Pretty Woman...I confess, most of the time, but I don't even care for it when Roy Orbison sings it.
    1984: none

On ADKOT: I'm with Nelah, Chinatown. I just can't seem to find an atmosphere for it. I've always been a lyrics girl, and I've got no frame of reference to connect with on that tune.

I consider "Chinatown" the worst CVH song, I don't hear any kind of vocal hook. It sounds like he started with a title and just tried to fit it onto the music. The riff is non-descript, and the double-bass drumming has no swing. Compared to something like "Loss of Control" it sounds like bland speed metal.
It can't be "Van Halen" without Roth, any more than it can be "Van Halen" without Eddie.

i really like "China Town" . i think it's got some fantastic playing by King Edward , and a great groove by Al and Wolf .
DLR's lyrics are in his typical off the wall fashion as well .

it's funny that you consider it the worst CVH song . i can think of several that i'd put a few notches lower than CT .
"There's a little bit of Van Halen in everyone ..."
    "Who Dares , Wins ..."
"Van Halen was never about the singer ..."

Again, I concur Ravenna. I was interested in hearing if people skip tracks (the majority seem not to) and which tracks they would skip if they did. Always so interesting to hear and understand why people do what they do.

China Town is a bit of a mystery to me, lyrically as well as it feels like a bit of a jumbled mess to me at times. It was the one song from the 2012 concerts that I really wished they would have switched out for something else on ADKOT. I thought Dave's live voice would have been better suited for YAYB or HBSD.

Perhaps in 2013?? I feel incredible VH optimism as we move through the latter part of 2012 into 2013....

i'm a VH fanatic , so i like all the tunes . some i take over others , depending on my mood and taste at any given time .
having said that , i'd pick China Town over the following :

Jamie's Cryin , Bottoms Up , Could This Be Magic , Loss of Control , Top Jimmy , One Foot Out the Door , Sinner's Swing , etc.
granted , these tunes are classic and show the depth of VH's arsenal , i only listen to some of them very sparsely .

China Town ? i could hear that one everyday !!
