    Olp mm1

I'm thinking of buying an OLP MM1 but I'm not really familiar with this guitar, is it any good?
The asking price for the guitar, guitar stand, Fender guitar bag, strap, tuner, 2 new sets of strings and 2 cords is 175 euros.
This seemed like a pretty good price to me and I was thinking I could probably get more money out of it if I don't like it.
    What are these things worth?

    Don't do it man.

I forked out all of my pocket money a few years ago to get one. The bridge was completely fucked and the strings would break almost every time I played it. I finally realised 2 years later that I had to chisel away a lot of the tremolo cavity, because bit of paint were getting caught in the springs making the bridge very noisy, creaky and stiff. Even after this, each time I re-string it they break after I play for about 5 minutes. Horrible experience, I wouldn't want anyone to get one.

absolutely agree. Stay away from the Olp. Now that being said, if you are looking for a nice EVH type music man forget the Olp and grab a sterling music man. These guitars are pretty cheap and they blow away the Olps in every possible way. They are awesome playing, smooth and true to the EVH axis guitars.

check em out. This is the way to go.

Thanks for the advice, doesn't sound that positive
But I guess you're talking about one with a floating bridge, the one I can buy is one with a fixed bridge.

No! Don't buy one! If you want a Wolfgang/Van Halen tone and you are on a budget I suggest using places like Axcessories and Guitarfetish to obtain parts and build one. You can probably get everything you need for under $550.

    Body: http://www.axcessories.com/proddetai...d=axmsIntrdrtb
Neck: http://www.axcessories.com/proddetai...axmsIntrdrneck (I own one of these necks, they are brilliant!)
    Tuners: http://www.guitarfetish.com/Vintage-...ock_p_813.html
Nut: http://www.axcessories.com/proddetai...od=axfrxlkntgs (I prefer top-mounted nuts, they have the traditional nuts too).
Tremolo: http://www.guitarfetish.com/Gold-Flo...tem_p_379.html (I own one of these, they are nice too)
Bridge Pickup: http://www.guitarfetish.com/VEH-Vint...ion_p_791.html (I have one in my Wolfgang, a sound clip is attached to this post)
    Neck Pickup: http://www.guitarfetish.com/VEH-Vint...ion_p_808.html

    Optional:
    D-Tuna: http://www.axcessories.com/proddetai...od=axdfrtunedg

Edit: I couldn't upload the file, if you want it gimme your e-mail and I will send it too ya.
