Anyone else catch Metal Evolution on VH1 classic tonight?

Tonights episode focused on bands that put out harder darker music from the United States. It featured Alice Cooper,Aerosmith,Kiss and VH among others.

I was too busy watching the Sooners getting their ass kicked by Baylor. Lol

Anyhoo, none of those bands you listed are even metal. I hate it when they get that wrong. Those are just good old hard rock bands.

God, VH-1 and their constant metal documentarys.
They just did one, that was like four parts, and it covered everything, already.

A while ago, i downloaded this awesome, awesome heavy metal documentary, put out by
the BBC in the early 80's.
It was three hours long, and i got it off some torrent site, at the time.

They had all this vintage footage of Judas Priest & Sabbath, lots of NWOBHM.

    I've seen that actually!

You look at it and shows how the "metal culture" was back then. Huge fucking lines of people outside of venues. The Soundhouse.

Ahh.. I wish I were there.

I hope I'm speaking of the right one, else this would be awkward.

    I think so.

They did talk about the culture, and the club they all used to go to.
They had the segment with the two blokes playing cardboard flying V's...

I liked it because you didn't get Slash & Zakk Wylde, adding comments, throughout.

    Yeah that's the one.

They had commentary from actual fans, not big superstars that are getting paid to be there or whatever.
