I know how you feel, Romeo Delight and Simple Rhyme are my two favorite, but I went for Fair Warning. (Hear About It Later is by 3rd fav BTW).

I just think Fair Warning has an atmosphere to it that just stands out from the rest of the six pack. I even like One Foot out the Door.

    I grabbed that telephone
    I thought we were alone
    Telling me there's company
    Your husband's comin' home
I've been thinking about this Saturday night with you
I've been thinking about it all week long
And now I'm gonna lose it 'cause that
Son-of-a-bitch got me singin' that same old song

That is just so cool. Sinners Swing is an absolute monster as well. Nothing quite like listening to "Feels So Good" and "Cabo Wabo," and then putting on Fair Warning afterwards.

"Fair Warning" is a great album (my third favorite after WACF & II).
II, WACF & FW, are all so close as far as the best.
79,80,81...i am obsessed with that era of VH.
"One foot out the door" has a brilliant fade-out solo, too.
When he hits those funky doublestops after all the tapping & bar madness, it just brings it all right back into the pocket.
FW has a brighter sound, as well.
It's the dark album with a bright brown sound!

Fair Warning always wins out in these types of threads. It's to be expected. I'll always prefer Woman And Chillun' First though.

Fair Warning is so different to Women and Children First. To compare them seems futile. It's like trying to compare two of your children and choosing your favorite. Impossible! Saying you like one more than the other is like saying you like chocolate more than cheese. I like both, but I enjoy them at different times.
