    Van Halen 1979, Holland

I came across this excellent sounding boot from the second tour, which are hard to come by (as most '79 shows are low sound quality).
I had never heard this one before, which surprised me!

The backing vocals in "Light up the sky," sound just like the actual album.
    Pretty cool performance, overall.

No problem, tell me what you think.

I was pleasantly surprised by it, as i expected really bad quality.
It's not SB, but it's better than the other '79 shows i own.

    Your welcome, guys!

There's some really cool things about this boot:

The intro to "Feel your love tonight" is the bluesy intro to, "Fools."
Ed must have liked it in '79, then decided to put it on the next record.
He plays the exact same thing, but he runs it through that effect that Robin Trower always used.

Also, Ed does an extended intro to, "Outta love, again," which is really cool.
I must concede that garbeaj was correct, as it is indeed the bar & feedback.
He also does some weird pick scratch thing in additon to this.

Never had this particular boot before, and the boys really sound great.
Ed pretty much plays both "Bottom's up!" solos, just like the record, which later on he didn't do.
You can hear that the material is fresh in his mind.

    Very cool post, UG!

    God, they WERE the shit!

I would stack 1978 -1982 Van Halen up against all comers. BRING IT!

No one could touch these guys! NO ONE!
