    Dom Deluise, dead at 75

Actor and chef Dom Deluise has died after a long illness. He was 75.

Frankly I'm surprised he lasted this long. He was always fat, but the last 15 years or so he was huge. I heard when he was on Hollywood Squares, they used a forklift to put him in the center square.

    RIP

Wow, the Dom has died? He loved his food didn't he? He was a big man who struggled with obesity throughout most of his life. He was genuinely funny too. Loved him as Captain Chaos in Cannonball Run. The outtakes at the end of that movie were hilarious. R.I.P.

Cannonball Run is a great movie. Yes its silly and stupid, but funny as hell. He played a dual role in that flick. Victor and Captian Chaos(HIM).

He had the funniest little laugh. When he laughed, you laughed along with him. He'll be missed. I'm sure it's a sad day for Burt Reynolds.

What a great movie, and a very funny man. If I'm not mistaken wasn't he in Smokey and the Bandit 2 also? RIP Dom.

Yeah, he was in Smokey II Doc. It wasn't that great of a movie unfortunately. He was in a lot of other stuff too. Plus, he was supposedly an excellent cook, and even had a couple of cookbooks I think.

I thought that fat fuck had already died in the late 70's!
How did he NOT have a heart attack & live to 75?

I never understood the appeal of him & Burt Reynolds.
Neither one struck me as particularly funny.
I just remember they always laughed at their own jokes, mid scene.

I had a childhood friend who made me sit through those crappy movies.
I could never relate to any of it.

Now, Gene Wilder was more my speed!

That guy was weird enough for me to relate to.
He was brilliant, but ever so slightly out of his mind.

Not surprisingly, I never did see what was so special about Gene Wilder. He was always a sarcastic asshole in most of his movies. Both Delouise and Reynolds were funny, if you can't see that, you're blind.
