    I dunno, in this economy it seems disrespectful...

    Maybe it's just me, as the Angus Young & Jimmy Page signature guitars are equally as high.
    Maybe i'm the naiive music nut, that would prefer to believe Ed would want his guitars in the hands of real players & not just business owners.

    Still....

    People will buy these things because of that name.

    Anyone know how the new 5150 sold?

    My friend said they sounded unimpressive next to his Peavey 5150 & Marshall.

    It would be more likely for me to purchase a quality instrument that is MADE in the USA and that has a history of at least holding (if not increasing) in value than I would to buy a guitar that was mass produced in Mexico.

    And regardless of who's name is on the headstock ...
    I hate contoured necks and vintage frets.

    I personally don't know of anyone who has bought one but I'm thinking if I had that kind of money to spend on an amp, I probably wouldn't be looking at the new 5150's ... I dunno.
