    Michael Anthony VH I

Hey, new to the forums just wanted to say Hi and mention I was listening to Van Halen I on the IPOD and Michael Anthony's bass sound on that album is just great. One of my favorite bass sounds. Sounds like a Precision Bass with a pick through an Ampeg SVT. Just another element that made that an amazing album.

=VH= I is my favorite album! Edward's guitar work was so amazing on that album, the way he expresses his notes, bends, and legato makes it the ultimate guitar players album. Not to mention his writing.

MA and EVH were using mainly Charvels and other guitars on the first 2 records.

I'd like to find some really good pics of MA's Charvels and Fenders. Before he went to the Yamahas.

    Yes, oh yes!

Like Supazar said, bass sound on the right!
Wolfgang Van Halen - "I love being a bass player. Its just me and Al a groove section. Just boom, boom, boom, and were good". GW
    ---
Edward Van Halen - "What is next for Wolf is the next record and the next tour. Hes no different than I am. Music is his life. If he goes back to school, Ill probably go with him. GC
