I broke a tuner on my strat! I know that is not suppose to happen on a Fender. Shit like that only happens on Gibsons or strat copys!
It broke where the shaft comes up from the base. Now I took them all off and checked them (I wasn't sure if they needed to be oiled or could be oiled) and when I put them back on I tightend them down with my fingers and then a quarter-turn with a wrench. So I know I didn't strip it.
Is there a way I can fix it?

There was probably a flaw in the metal that finally gave out. Pretty rare that those break.

Sounds like you need to get new tuners man. Yeah, they don't make things like they used to. One time, my jack plate broke apart as I was removing a cable.
