I've been wanting to hear a cover of Black Sabbath from them for so long. And it's from Vol 4 which makes it even better. I hope more covers like these are pulled out from whatever vault it came from.
Roth - I would definitely have to say WACF. He has a perfect blend of smoothness and rasp screams in there. "Everybody wants some" and "Romeo Delight" are probably some of his best vocal work.

Seeing these vids made me wish I bought tickets, but besides being laid off and saving up for other stuff - I hate outside shows. I made an exception only to the Iron Maiden/Alice Cooper show but...
I have Panama's Meanstreet on facebook, don't really think he's interested in VH anymore like he used to be. He moved on to more modern stuff, usually hardcore screamo stuff.
The others I haven't...
I was actually impressed when I heard it. They are really tight, even after not playing this tune for years. They did do it in 2012 for pre-show sound check though.
Stained Class is by far my favorite next to Sad Wings of Destiny if we're to talk about the 70s Priest. Unleashed has some of my favorite versions though, "Tyrant" just slays from the live album. So...
At this point, I'm okay with ADKOT being their swansong and nostalgia tours. It's all we can hope for with a Roth/VH bros line up. I suspect that's why we haven't had anything new or why Roth is...
As disappointed as I am about hearing it, I'm relieved. No more do we have to battle over whether they exist or not. We've heard it years ago from Mike and Al that they didn't exist, and now since...

Post the article?
It's a shame Rockstah passed away, I felt he had the closest I've ever heard.
I might be in the minority, but I thought Dave sounded better than he has in last two years or so. I was a bit impressed.
Al might have one of the coolest sets he's had in years. It looks so...
I don't even know what to think of this band anymore.
I may not be enthralled with the new tour and shite, but Al's kit looks really slick. A lot like the '79 tour with the stainless steel/chrome.

It was written by Greg Renoff who is doing the Van Halen Rising book. Think he goes by FFONER on here.
There's so many other shows that could/should be done from Van Halen. A South American show...
Seems like Dave wasn't the only one to lose control of his upper register.
Hmm, Roth was supposedly going to do another solo album and with John 5. Maybe Roth is working with Mike too?
Needs more control and technique but he has rhythm at least. Probably why he's confident on playing bass.
I can't help but feel we're not giving Wolf enough credit. He's not his father but I definitely think he knows the Van Halen sound. He did come up with the new bridge for "She's the Woman", it may be...
Here's the link...apparently it was edited after Brett found something out about the person in question.

I just found it...this is going to be an interesting read.
Is there an article with that?
Another thing that bothers me is when I see articles about the new Live CD is that they use a picture of Ed/Roth from a live concert in 1981. It gives the wrong...
Riot blows Quiet Riot out of the ocean in my opinion. Quiet Riot had a couple good songs, Riot had several great albums. Fire Down Under, Narita, Thundersteel, Rock City, are amazing albums. They got...
It's a load of disappointment, but I'm trying to be optimistic that maybe if this is a success we'll see more Live releases from them. ADKOT was a success in sales, in modern terms, so maybe we'll...
Remastering albums takes time too, guys. Jimmy Page did it himself with another engineer and that took of time to do. I think Eddie and Al went engineer searching for a while, until they found one...
Also...why is it always a Canadian radio station? I felt like last time an "announcement" appeared it was from a Canadian radio station.
